This poster does not have any real images but still creates a great horror effect. When creating my poster i will be sure not to flood it with real pictures.
Don't forget - the iconic motif at the centre of the poster suggests that the film is going to feature some kind of virus. It is the kind of symbol we often see in hospitals, or science laboratories. We live in an age when these symbols are highly charged, and full of meaning. Think: Chernobyl nuclear accident, think AIDS, think SARS/swine flu. A modern trauma we all have to share is the ineffectiveness/danger of so called 'scientific progress' - which this film poster plays on brilliantly. What icons/symbolism can you employ in your marketing campaign? Another film that made good use of symbols/icons in the marketing stage was the British gangster film 'Layer Cake.' Think creatively about this with regards your project - it would certainly help enrich your core/key idea.
